with something to notice.
Unit 1 · Numbers to ten
LESSON 1
Seeing small groups
Recognise three or four at a glance, then check by counting.
LESSON 2
Counting a set, and counting nothing
Count one object at a time, and the last word is how many. Zero gets a name too.
LESSON 3
One number, three faces
The counters, the written 4 and the spoken “four” are all the same number.
LESSON 4
More, fewer or the same
Pair the objects up. Whatever is left over tells you which group has more.
LESSON 5
Every number has a place
Put numbers in order, spot the missing one, and slot a number between its neighbours.
Unit 2 · Wholes and parts
LESSON 6
A whole, and its parts
All of them together is the whole. One group inside it is a part.
LESSON 7
Different ways to split
Split a group one way, then another. The total never changes.
LESSON 8
One whole, different parts
Put numbers on the splits your child made, and a number bond appears.
LESSON 9
A part with nothing in it
Move them all to one side. The empty side is still a part: it is holding zero.
LESSON 10
Every way to make a number
Move one across at a time and a ladder appears, showing every way.
For the grown-up: you run these lessons with your child. The table work is the longest part, and the screen never replaces it. Nothing is scored, stored or uploaded.
After Lesson 5: R01 is a short paper review across Lessons 2 to 5. Instructions are in Lesson 5's resources; you run it yourself with real objects.
