Brijbox

Why Brijbox exists

Every child deserves a real shot.

We are building the maths experience we wished we could find: rigorous Singapore Maths, made hands-on and human for families learning together.

It started with one child

We couldn't find it.
So we started building it.

Tanuja had seen education up close in different countries—from tutoring East Timorese refugees while at the University of Melbourne to studying at MIT and leading global teams. One idea kept coming back: a little focused support, at the right moment, can change a life.

Years later, working through Singapore Maths with his son Jett, he saw how its models made difficult ideas visible. It was not only about getting sums right. It was training in algebraic thinking, probability, discipline and problem solving.

Brijbox brings that structure together with real objects, drawings, language and practical stories—so children learn to think, not simply to click.

The building team

Grown-up experience.
Kid-level honesty.

We build a little, test it with real families, listen carefully and build the next piece.

Tanuja as a Brijbox character

Co-founder · Learning & experience

Tanuja Suriarachi

Tanuja is Jett's dad, an entrepreneur and a former global marketing and customer-experience leader. He brings together what he has learned across countries, classrooms and companies to make powerful learning more accessible.

Co-founder · Product & building

Rishabh Rastogi

Rish brings more than eight years across product management and product marketing. He tutored students at college and was struck by the entrepreneurial spark children show early—something he wants Brijbox to help children keep.

At Purdue, he also helped start and lead an electric-vehicle racing team. Building ideas into real things has been a theme for a long time.

Education adviser · Numeracy and classroom practice

Allan Skea

Allan is a primary school educator and maths learning specialist. At Beaumaris Primary School, he has combined school-wide maths leadership with classroom teaching. Before joining Beaumaris, Allan spent seven years at Solway Primary School, where he led high-ability practice and challenge and enrichment learning. Outside the classroom, Allan performs live acoustic music around Melbourne — another craft grounded in listening, practice and connecting with people.

Allan is helping build Brijbox to make strong maths teaching easier for families to use at home: how to sequence an idea, where children tend to get stuck, which hands-on activity makes the maths visible, and how a grown-up can help without taking over.

Co-designer · Chief kid tester

Jett

Jett is eight. He tells us when an instruction is confusing, when an activity feels flat and when something is genuinely fun. He is also a grey belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—so he knows that progress comes from focus, practice and trying again.

“Make it interesting. Make it easy.”

What guides the work

Four promises we will build by.

01

Maths is a way of thinking

Singapore Maths is our spine because it teaches children to see the parts, model the problem and explain why an answer makes sense.

02

Hands help minds learn

Children build, draw, talk and move things—not just tap a screen. The physical world makes an idea real.

03

Effort deserves the applause

We notice focus, good questions, useful strategies and another brave try. Progress matters more than a burst of dopamine.

04

Every child deserves a shot

Strong foundations should be clearer and easier for families to use, whatever a child needs to get started.

Come build with us

One carefully tested maths idea at a time.

Brijbox is early. That is the point: families can help shape what it becomes.
